Babanov / Afanasiev: acclimatization ascent and rest days

On April 7, Valery and Victor returned to the Base Camp after acclimatization ascent at 5600 m on the classical route from the northern side (French route of 1950). Korean expedition is working there right now.
As Valery said, just above the second camp, French route is obviously dangerous because of the enormous serac. That's why their second acclimatization to the high altitude they are planning on the Czech route on the North-Western side up to 6700 m. Czech route is technically more complicated, but it is relatively safer.
The weather is bad and the guys plan 2-3 days of rest. 09.04.2009
