BASK company took part in the biggest annual outdoor trade show in UK – “Go Outdoors!”

The traditional annual Outdoor Trade Show took part from 28th to 30th September 2003 in Harrogate, United Kingdom.

This show is the main and the biggest in UK’s outdoor market, inasmuch as it determines the mainstream and the latest tendencies of the development of this segment. This is an exclusively trade show for the specialists, therefore it is the main and the last place for the retailers to place orders for their coming season’s collection.

It was not the first time for BASK to come to England for the trade show, however it was the first time to take part in Harrogate exhibition. BASK became the only one Russian company exhibitor. It is remarkable that this trade show was the 10th international trade show in which BASK took part. Thanks to the excellent work of British dealer, BASK appeared to be a cognate company, which in it’s turn raised the amount of orders for BASK products. The major attention was pointed to the Ultimate down overall manufactured with Pertex Endurance. Similar garments are the main production of RAB company which traditionally has very strong positions on UK outdoor market, but as a result of the trade show and after some comparative analysis made it can be stated that no analogues to the BASK production could be found at Harrogate. Major outdoor brands took part in this trade show which in it’s turn proves the concernment of this exhibition for UK market and once again we can come to conclusion that BASK was leading in price-quality index especially with it’s down collection.

Also taking advantage of staying in England BASK representatives visited Perseverance Mills, known by it’s Pertex brand. In the meeting with Keith Chapman CEO it was confirmed the strategic partnership between Pertex and BASK. Also it was decided that BASK will become the only consignee for all Pertex fabrics coming to Russia.
