The new record of attendance is hold by the 12th Outdoor trade fair
According to official returns, the Outdoor show has recorded a 7% increase in visitors and 13% - in exhibitors. The dates of Oudoor-2006 are already approved.
Outdoor establishes itself as a truly international event. In spite of the slow growth of interest in the active rest and sport in many European countries, the trade fair in Friedrichshafen attracts more and more people being interested in it. Even more encouraging is the significant increase in visitors from outside Germany. In four days, a total of 15137 trade visitors from 78 countries (for reference: 2004 – 14130 visitors from 68 countries) flowed through the exhibition gates.
The 12th international exhibition was a good platform for the main object - profitable business – achievement. “We are delighted we could extend the Outdoor show and provide and even bigger platform for the industry to present and communicate what’s new and exciting in the outdoor world” – said Rolf Mohne, Managing Director of the Friedrichshafen exhibition company. Outdoor was also a “great success” for exhibition partners, the European Outdoor Group (EOG) said Rolf G. Schmid. EOG Managing Director Marc Held described the atmosphere among the exhibitors as “wonderfully exciting”.
The branch used all ten exhibition halls and the open area to present their companies. In addition there was an expanded “Extra” program which included trade lectures and a special show which was staged by the EuroTradeInstitute. The entertainment and social side wasn’t lacking either, with a fashion show, a Nordic Walking Track, several climbing competitions and the legendary Outdoor party.
Many innovations of different companies were present during the exhibition including the BASK booth. New sleeping bags Kashgar (-60°C) and Yeti as well as new weatherproof shells and accessories collections were of interest of visitors who could also appreciate the hi-quality BASK down models at their true value.
