31.01.2003: Swedish snowboardrer dressed in Research (LMA) won a half-pipe Championship Thanks to BASK company, which participated in SweSport exhibition (Stockholm, 11-14th of January, 2003), Swedish athletes could for the first time test Russian outdoor equipment. One of the most advanced Swedish snowboarding schools was especially interested in BASK LMA collection. The interest was mutual – our Swedish dealers decided to sponsor a national snowboarding team of Sweden, which comes out strong at international competitions. Rickard Sandling, leading Swedish snowboarder, became a pioneer in this cooperation. He won Sweden half-pipe championship dressed in Research suit (LMA collection, BASK). His next aim is a golden medal of World Championship. From the other side, snowboarding Jury had also appreciated BASK garments. Mattias Hägglund, a tutor of a famous snowboarding school and a judge of Sweden half-pipe championship had been fulfilling his duties there in Khan-Tengri BASK down jacket. Mattias was really impressed with the warmth and convenience of Khan-Tengri.

12.09.2002: LMA — New Snowboard Collection Company BASK has designed a new snowboard collection, which is called LMA. ~It is a perfect, high tech clothing that is very functional, comfortable and – and utterly stylish’, – says the designer of LMA, Alexander Selivanov, – ‘The design reckons with all the features of snowboard technique, anatomy and physiology of skiing’. The first models were successfully tested at Mt. Elbrus last winter and summer. LMA (‘Lazy Man Apparel’) collection includes men’s and women’s jackets and pants, hats, gloves, packs, and accessories. BASK has chosen Dermizax® 3-ply membrane as a shell fabric for the snowboard clothing. This breathable and a very durable fabric is a novation of Japan company Toray. Dermizax has excellent hydrophobic characteristics: hydrostatic head of 20000 mm with water vapour permeability of 8,000 gr/m2 (per 24 hours). These perfect properties are 80%-preserved after twenty washings. In short, Dermizax is an absolutely waterproof and very durable material in which one fills comfortable even while moving actively. In LMA collection BASK uses traditional snowboarding and extreme sport palette. LMA collection will appear at retailers in the very beginning of the new winter season.
