Valery Babanov`s new project: Chomo Lonzo summit (7790 m)

The goal of Valery Babanov`s expedition is the West face of Chomo Lonzo climbing attempt.

Expedition`s hronology and description:

Mountain range of Chomo Lonzo include three summits: North (7199m), Central (7540m) and Main (7790m).

The massif Chomo-Lonzo drop a big faces, 2000-2500 meters on West and North-East side.

The Chomo-Lonzo Main (7790m) was climb before twice: In October of 1954 year by French expedition from south and in 1993 year, the Japanest expedition from north-west side.

The North and Central summits were climb in last 2005 year by National French expedition.

The West face of Chomo-Lonzo Main is virgin still.

Expedition`s hronology
10 april – Departure from Calgary to Kathmandu.
15 april – Departure from Kathmandu to Tibet.
21-22 april – Arrival to Base Camp Chomo-Lonzo (4900ì).

West face climbing attempt will planing in the middle of May.
In Chomo-Lonzo`s Base Camp will be just Valeri Babanov and cook.
