“From limpid Baikal waters to the Pacific Ocean following a route of a famous conqueror Temujin (also known as Chingis-khan)” — that is the way chosen by Constan Since the middle of July till September of 2002 the brave bikers are going to pass about 5000 km, crossing high passes of Mongol Altay, hot sands of Gobi Desert and wet subtropics of China. Extreme ‘Temurjin Way’ bike-cross will connect three major Asian countries: Russia, Mongolia and China. If the athletes succeed then for the first time in history Great Gobi Desert will be crossed by bikers.
Final checkup of team trim was made during the expedition to Kalmykia. The biking duo decided to use their May vacations for a test bike-cross along Kalmykia ‘Black Earth’ desert.
Magic Khalm Tangch (that is how Kalmyks call their Motherland) country had rewarded the athletes with affecting experience. Not only 700 kilometers of desert roads, but hospitable Kalmyks and blossoming veld remained memorable for them long after the travel. During it they were unalarmed about the equipment --– it was from BASK. In the long and hard bike-cross the team used BASK biking packs and sleeping bags so they could rely upon the stuff completely.
