 | | 24.05.2002: Log-book of "Apostle Andrew" yacht. Second circumnavigation. Second circumnavigation of captain Nicolas Litau around Western hemisphere.
In 12:30 on the 14th of October 2001 `St. Apostle Andrew’ yacht started from Saint-Petersburg for her second circumnavigation. Captain Nicolas Litau aims to go around Western hemisphere via West-north lane. The yacht should coast along Alaska and Canadian Arctic Archipelago.

 | | 24.05.2002: News Release On the 25th of April company BASK held a press conference devoted to an exceptional climbing expedition ‘BASK – Great Sail Wall’, which is leaving to Baffin Island (Canadian Arctic).

 | | 24.05.2002: In one day “BASK – Great Sail Wall” expedition leaves to Baffin Island Alexander Odintzov’s team leaves to Toronto on the 26th of April – just as it was planned.
Members and organizers of the event met the news with relief – the expedition starts in right time. Canadian embassy has at last granted visas to Odintzov’s team. Registration of their documents took more than 20 days (sic!) and during the period we were uncertain that the expedition may start in time. Now this initial problem is over.
Press-service of ‘Big Walls – Russian Way’ project reports that Canadian media are already informed about arrival of our climbers. While the team will be moving to Canadian Arctic Russian embassy will be preparing a press-conference devoted to the project.

 | | 24.05.2002: ĘÎNG equipment helped speleologists and base-jumpers to speed ascent from the deepest Mexican cave Denis Provalov, one of leading Russian speleologists, has visited BASK and shared his latest Mexican experiences with us. He with his team has downclimbed deep ‘Las Golodrias’ cave. Inter alia, we were pleased to know that Denis was impressed with KONG climbing gear. (Let us remind that BASK is an official representative of KONG in Russia).

 | | 24.05.2002: "BASK – Great Sail Wall" expedition A press conference devoted to a climbing expedition ‘BASK – Great Sail Wall’ was held in Saint-Petersburg press-center of ITAR-TASS on the 19th of April.
Expedition leader Alexander Odintzov, expedition doctor Mikhail Bakin and cameraman Ivan Samoilenko shared their plans with journalists.
